Beaches that blow your mind

Our beaches can be a real head-turner, and we love it! When the weather gets in the way and the waves are spectacular, the beach becomes a dynamic place to do something.

Into the water!

Surfing, windsurfing, foiling, water walking… There are so many ways to enjoy the water in a fun way.

  • For surfing, the spots in the Bay of Audierne (La Torche, Tronoën, Penhors) are perfect and, in season, surf schools offer equipment hire and supervision.
  • For windsurfing and foiling, there are the sailing centres on the south coast: Sainte-Marine, Île-Tudy, Lesconil, Loctudy, Le Guilvinec and Penmarc’h.
  • You can gowater-walking on your own or with an instructor on all the beaches in the Bigouden region.

A walk in the sea

Whatever the weather, a walk on the beach is the best way to recharge your batteries.

  • You can opt for the stretches of sand in the Bay of Audierne, perfect for getting caught up in the limitless horizon: Ru Vein beach in Plovan, Penhors beach in Pouldreuzic, Kermabec beach in Tréguennec, Tronoën beach in Saint-Jean-Trolimon or La Torche beach in Plomeur.

Sport on the beach

Sand yachting, volleyball, yoga, jogging on the beach, supervised horse riding, family kite flying… There’s no shortage of ideas for enjoying the seaside while taking part in a sporting activity!

So the beach is no longer a place for idleness, and sports enthusiasts can find something to do without putting a toe in the water…

Storm warning

You don’t always think about going out on the beach on stormy days. And yet, the spectacle is intense and captivating. You won’t regret putting on your mackintosh! After this immersive, 100% Breton experience, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate…

If you wish to attend the show, please remain cautious and take into account a few rules for your safety:

  • Keep away from the shore as the sea may surprise you.
  • If you are on a signposted path, respect the footpaths
  • In the event of strong gales, certain areas may be closed to the public. Do not climb over fences.
