Return from fishing - langoustines - Lesconil Two trawlers go out to sea from Monday to Friday and bring back fish and langoustines around 4.30pm.
They offer (barring bad weather) a live langoustine sale on the quayside at around 5.30pm. Another direct sale of fish and shellfish takes place from 10.30am to 12.30pm from Monday to Saturday on the quayside.
Langoustine fishing is a real tradition in the Bigouden region. Known as the “damsel”, it is also the “pink gold” of western fishermen. It nests offshore, in a burrow dug in the ground. The best time to eat langoustine is from May to October.
