Fancy a trip out to sea, in the fresh air? Whether you’ve got sea legs or not, in the Bigouden region you can choose to go for a walk on the water, on the open sea or in the river, for a day or just a few minutes… The choice is yours!

By the day

Set sail for the Glénan Islands from Loctudy (July and August) and Bénodet (April to September)! With a stopover on the island of Saint-Nicolas, enjoy the turquoise waters and fine sandy beaches. This archipelago is known as the Breton Caribbean.

Several service providers offer their services:

Head for the Ile de Sein! Sail past the famous lighthouses of Ar-Men, La Vieille and Tévennec. Observe dolphins, seals and birds, with the greatest respect for the flora and fauna…

With Archipel Pro by zodiac from Penmarc’h and Lesconil.

For a few hours

Head for the River Odet, its manor houses and castles, the Bigouden coast with its harbours and beaches, or the Étocs archipelago off Penmarc’h.

Several service providers offer half-day outings:

You can also hire a boat, with or without a licence, from Sur les Flots, based in Combrit Sainte-Marine.

For a few minutes

Take the pedestrian ferry across the Odet river from Sainte-Marine to Bénodet or the Pont-l’Abbé river from Loctudy to Île-Tudy. The crossing is short. It takes just 5 minutes.

This very practical maritime transport also takes your bikes on board so you can continue your two-wheeled tour along the cycle route no. 45 and the signposted footpaths.

The p’tit bac sails every day from April to September.

This service is provided by Les Vedettes de l’Odet.
