On the flat granite rocks, numerous circular marks remain, sometimes exceeding 2 metres in diameter. These are extraction scars from the bases of crosses or perhaps millstones. At Prat An Ilis, two smaller basins appear to be the scars of millstones still in use in the Middle Ages.
