Travel back to 500,000 BCE in search of our ancestors along the discovery trail which includes the dolmens at the Pointe du Souc'h, the gallery grave at Pors Poulhan and Menez Dregan cave (a major Palaeolithic site where archaeologists have discovered the traces of man-made fire, and which figures among the oldest sites in the world). Menez Dragan Discovery Centre reveals everything about archaeological sites and the people who worked on them, detailing the methods used and displaying archaeological finds. In July and August, Plouhinec Council runs guided tours of the sites for individuals, groups and schools all year-round on request. Open every day in July and August.
