Construction began in 1913-1914. Originally built as a school-orphanage, Le Dourdy has undergone several successive uses and occupations since its construction was completed.
The manor house cannot be visited. The park is closed to the public. It can be seen from the GR34, which runs along the river below Pont-l'Abbé.
