"I was lucky enough to have Henri Lindegaard, a painter and pastor from the Cévennes, as my watercolour teacher. I owe most of my training to him during the courses he ran in his farmhouse at Mialet in the Gard. My approach to watercolour painting is largely inspired by his teaching.
I love painting Brittany, where I've been living since 2010, just as I loved painting Provence. But also the places I travel through or discover. Thanks to painting, I can spend hours soaking up all their richness.
Painting creates links: a relationship is created between the landscape and me. I never see it in the same way once I've painted it; it becomes more than just a memory. It's like a shared history, an exchange of gifts.
We spent time together and from that time, the painting was born. It's like a house you've lived in.
