The markings on the ground (yellow/red) always take precedence over paper or digital documents.
To respect the integrity of the natural environment you are crossing, it is essential to attach rubber tips to the points of your poles. Repeated use of unprotected walking sticks by walkers can, in the medium term, have irreversible consequences, such as stripping the soil and vegetation, gullying and widening the path's right-of-way.
The routes known as GR® were created by the French hiking federation. They are protected under intellectual property law.
TAKE PART IN PRESERVING TRAILS: Many volunteers from the War Maez association, which is affiliated to the FFRandonnée, work locally to mark out and preserve trails (marking out of GR® trails by the Fédération française de randonnée pédestre, etc.).
