Penmarc'h alone has 4.9 km of beaches.

The magnificent family beach of Le Steir is ideally south-facing, and measures 3.9 km in a natural dune environment facing the Etocs archipelago.
Here you can enjoy swimming and water sports in a family atmosphere. In season, the water sports centre behind the beach offers activities such as catamaran sailing, kayaking and windsurfing.
Located in Kérity, close to the magnificent Eckmühl lighthouse, this beach is also perfect for fishing.

The beach is supervised every day from 1pm to 7pm from 5 July to 31 August.
This beach has a car park, showers, WCs and a play area nearby.
Kerity side: cinema, restaurants, cafés.
Nearest bus stops (1km): Poulguen or Kerity

👩🏽‍🦽‍➡️PMR :

A Tiralo and Handiquatro are available in July and August, from 1pm to 7pm, at the lifeguard station on the Handiplage-labelled Ster beach.
Reservations required by calling 02 98 58 60 19.

Another way to enjoy the beaches and dunes is to walk along the dunes along the GR34, the legendary customs path. Running is also very popular.

Recommendations:
- The dunes and maritime vegetation are very fragile! Help to preserve them by using only the paths designated for the walk. Please do not cross the ganivelles.
- For your safety, the footpaths are for pedestrians only. There are cycle routes for cyclists.
- No, the beaches aren't dirty! Seaweed is not waste, but the natural waste product of a living ocean. It's a rich environment that encourages biodiversity.
- Yes, even in Brittany the sun can cause you a few problems! Protect your skin with sunscreen, avoid exposure between 12pm and 3pm and wear sunglasses!
- Fishing on foot is a highly recommended pastime! But beware of the tide, which can take you by surprise, even if you're a regular! To ensure that this special moment remains a pleasure, be sure to check the tide times and don't leave without your mobile phone! If possible, let someone on land know about your trip. Also, ask at the tourist office about catch sizes and any temporary bans. The fruit of your catch must remain alive until cooked/tasted.

🐶 Dogs welcome
Following a municipal decree, dogs are allowed on the beaches (on a lead):
- From 1 May to 30 Sept: from 8pm to 10am
- From 1 October to 30 April: free hours
