Combrit Sainte-Marine alone has 3.5 km of sandy beaches, mainly facing south.
The Treustel beach is particularly beautiful and ideal for families and water sports enthusiasts.
The accesses are equipped with car parks and toilets. It is supervised from 1pm to 7pm every day in July and August, and houses the annex to the Combrit and Ile Tudy water sports centre.
This beach is ideal for practising coastal kayaking, paddle boarding, first aid and even surfing!
For hiking enthusiasts:
Behind the beach is the Polder, a protected natural area, and the cycle route.
Nearest bus stop: Avenue des Sports (1.2 km from Ăle-Tudy)
PRM: Hippocampe available in July and August during opening hours at the first-aid post on 06 75 43 84 67.
Another way to enjoy the beaches and dunes is to walk along the dunes along the GR34, the legendary customs path. Running is also very popular.
Recommendations:
- The dunes and maritime vegetation are very fragile! Help to preserve them by using only the paths designated for the walk. Please do not cross the ganivelles.
- For your safety, the footpaths are for pedestrians only. There are cycle routes for cyclists.
- No, the beaches are not dirty! Seaweed is not waste, but the natural waste product of a living ocean. It's a rich environment that encourages biodiversity.
- Yes, even in Brittany the sun can cause you a few problems! Protect your skin with sunscreen, avoid exposure between 12pm and 3pm and wear sunglasses!
- You can't go fishing on foot without taking a few precautions! Watch out for the tide, which can take you by surprise, even if you're a regular! To make sure you have a great time, be sure to check the tide times and don't leave without your mobile phone! If possible, let someone on land know about your getaway. Also, ask at the tourist office about catch sizes and any temporary bans. The fruit of your catch must remain alive until cooked/tasted.
đ¶ Dogs welcome
Following a municipal decree, dogs are prohibited on the beach from 1 May to 30 September to protect wildlife and for health reasons.
Outside this period, they must always be kept on a lead.
The dunes behind the beaches are sensitive areas protected by the Conseil Départemental and the Conservatoire du Littoral. Dogs must be kept on a lead all year round.
