Sainte-Marine has moved with the times without losing any of its charm, although some people still yearn for the days when Marie was the landlady of the bar on the quayside. Nowadays fishing boats have made way for pleasure boats and the harbour is now equipped to cater for them : around the pontoons, a whole range of food, accommodation and other services are available for passing tourists. The marina is a natural, unspoilt extension of the old granite harbour, which has been a gateway to the River Odet since the 19th century.
