Returning from a fishing trip to Guilvinec is a must when visiting South Finistère. It's such an authentic, lively, fresh and often breathtaking moment!
Come along Monday to Friday from 4pm (weather permitting) to watch the inshore trawlers unload the day's catch. The star of the show is the langoustine, but other species such as monkfish, hake, pollack, lemon sole, conger eel, skate, haddock and spider crab also fill the auction bins.
Enough to make your mouth water.
Don't forget your windbreaker, as the terrace is often windy. Access is free and safe for children.
Accessibility:
A lift on the west side provides access to the panoramic terrace.
A visit to Haliotika - La Cité de la pêche, located on the same terrace, is an added bonus!
