Landudec

Landudec offers a natural and wild setting, but is also fun and invigorating with a choice of outdoor activities. Close to Plozévet, 15 minutes from Douarnenez and 25 minutes from Quimper, this coastal town promises a rejuvenating stay in the great outdoors.

Getting there

For walking in the woods

In Landudec, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, in a green and wooded setting.

There are two hiking trails, each 10 kilometres long, where you can explore the surrounding area and discover the local heritage along the way.

Landudec is centrally located between the Bay of Audierne (10 minutes from the beaches of Plozévet) and the Bay of Douarnenez (20 minutes away). Quimper, the prefectural town of Finistère, with its cobbled streets and beautiful monuments, is just 25 minutes away.

Another of Landudec’s assets is its lively shops, restaurants and bars.

The must-haves

The church of Saint-Tudec (open all year round, daily from 10am to 5pm). Dating from the 16th century, it was one of the characteristic works of the Pont-Croix architectural style. Only the west gable was preserved when it was rebuilt in the early 20th century.

The Lanrien botanical walking trail to discover forest and undergrowth species, ideal for families (approx. 30 minutes) or for jogging!

The Grand Prix des 3 Ormes Nature race

The Grand Prix des 3 Ormes is a not-to-be-missed event for trail and running enthusiasts. The event is included in the Brittany running calendar.

The race starts every summer in Landudec, with two routes: one of 3 km and the other of 8 km.

It’s a great way to discover the countryside of the Haut Pays Bigouden while getting some exercise!
