Tréguennec

Between protected moorland and Audierne Bay, welcome to the wild coastline of the Bigouden region! Tréguennec is also a little paradise for surfers.

Getting there

Wild landscape and the power of the elements

The small commune of Tréguennec has plenty to offer. Strolling along the long beaches is like being rocked by the wind, the sound of the waves and the dance of the plants in the dunes.

The GR® 34, La Littorale cycle route no. 45 and the Route du Vent solaire run along this immense coastline. The twists and turns take you on a journey through a verdant, undulating world that’s an incredible change of scenery. A Celtic setting, a little Ireland in the heart of the Bigouden region. You feel small but full of energy. Behind the dunes, paths weave through the moorland.

The Conservatoire du Littoral guards and preserves this natural environment on a daily basis. Rare birds, fragile plants and pebbles depend on your attention!

The must-haves

Art and nature trail

Discover this 2km trail, dotted with works that combine art and nature, inviting us to question our relationship with nature and change the way we look at it, through an artistic approach. The tour starts at the Maison de la Baie d’Audierne and winds its way through the countryside, taking in the banks of the Etang de Saint-Vio.

There are 6 sights along the way:

1- Maison de la baie d’Audierne
2- Window on the pond
3- The nest in the poplars
4- The tightrope-walking trees
5- The woven observatory
6- The palaver tree
