THE DETAILED PROGRAMME
9.30 am. Meet at the Cap Caval hall
10 am. Let’s set off on a short walk (around 4.5 km, flat terrain) between the sea and the marshes, in the commune of Penmarc’h. During the walk, let’s stop for a few moments (5 to 10 minutes max) to sketch, in a few strokes, a place, a building, a flower, etc., which will feature in your ‘Walk in Penmarc’h’ sketchbook.
1.00 pm. Return to the Cap Caval hall and set up under the marquee. Lunch break (bring your own sandwiches, salad, etc.). Coffee will be provided.
2.00 pm. Back to drawing; we’ll share useful tips, draw inspiration from photos taken along the way, and add collages, colours, text…
4.30 pm. Everyone presents their work… It’s time to go and visit the exhibition!
MATERIALS
- Your favourite medium (pencil, pen, felt-tip, etc.)
- A small notebook (A6) will be provided at the start.
- Waterproof jacket, comfortable shoes.
- A packed lunch
OPTIONAL
- For those who don’t want to draw standing up or sit on the ground, bring a small portable seat;
- Colours (pencils, watercolours, ink, etc.), and possibly glue and scissors.
In the event of rain or strong wind, the walk will be cancelled. Instead, I suggest we sit under the marquee and create a sketchbook for a fictional journey (text for the ‘journey’ and illustrative materials provided on the spot).
