Description
Originally from Rennes, Colette Aulnette has always been drawn to art.
After being confined to bed for a very long time following a serious road accident, she began to try her hand at sketching and watercolour painting,
Upon her arrival in Quimper in 1985, she enrolled in a private drawing and painting course and discovered dry pastels. A true revelation, this technique captivated her and led her to meet a master pastel artist, with whom she honed her technique during several workshops.
Full of poetry and light, pastels inspire her deeply and allow her to flourish fully through her passion. Moreover, their velvety texture and softness match the effect she likes to achieve in her work, particularly in her portraits.
These depictions of children’s faces, inspired by her many travels, have earned her several first prizes at exhibitions in Quimper, in the Île-et-Vilaine department, and in Morbihan.
She also enjoys working in acrylics on a variety of themes, such as family scenes on the beaches of the Bigouden region, flora and abstract art.
Organised by the TREFFIAG’ARTS association.
