Description
Thierry Buisson, known as Theb, is a self-taught artist whose artistic practice focuses mainly on acrylic paint. His creative approach is instinctive and personal, favouring spontaneity and improvisation over preparatory sketches. He explores colours, textures and shapes in works that oscillate between abstraction and figuration.
His work is inspired by masters such as Picasso, Zao Wou Ki and Miró, whose worlds fuel his quest for free expression. Theb uses a varied palette of materials, combining acrylic, pastel chalk and plaster, to create dynamic, textured compositions. Each canvas is the fruit of a rhythmic process, in which the gesture responds to the present moment, without any pre-established plan.
The artist seeks to offer the viewer an open space for interpretation, where the imagination can flourish without constraint. His aim is to provoke emotion and reflection by offering a visual experience that goes beyond words. Through his creations, Thierry Buisson invites a sensitive interaction between the work and the viewer, hoping to offer a mirror conducive to recognition and escape.
