Les Tréteaux du Phare, a popular theatre festival in Penmarc’h. In 1930s Moscow, Marguerite, out of love for the Master, a cursed writer, signs a pact with the devil. This modern-day Faust draws you into a rich and burlesque world that fiercely denounces all forms of totalitarianism. In *The Master and Margarita*, Bulgakov weaves together the myths and artistic expressions that have shaped our societies to proclaim the artist’s freedom and reject the standardisation of thought.
