The myth of Oedipus told by a clown. As a witness, he claims to have seen it all. He plunges us into this story of origins. Storyteller, actor, puppeteer, clown… he is no less a storyteller for it.
Oedipus wants to know his origins.
He is the only one to solve the Sphinx’s riddle: what is Man?
A being who is born on four legs, grows up on two legs, and grows old on three legs.
As far as he is concerned, Oedipus has got a bit mixed up: he is at once his father’s murderer, his mother’s husband, his children’s brother, and his wife’s son… His journey resembles a ‘demonstration’ by way of the absurd of the human condition.
