Our commitments

Our Tourist Office is committed to an approach recognised by the Qualité Tourisme™ mark.

This national distinction shows our desire to offer a warm welcome, reliable information, personalised services and an ever more pleasant experience to our public.

Our quality commitments

In order to offer our visitors the best possible quality of information service, Destination Pays bigouden has joined a national quality initiative, specific to the Offices de Tourisme de France network.

To this end, our establishments and teams are committed to the following points:

  • Cultivating alove of the Pays Bigouden and sharing it at every meeting
  • To be, become and remain experts in their field
  • With a smile and good humour
  • To offer in-depth, real-life knowledge of our region and what it has to offer (we even try out new experiences to give you better advice!)
  • Staying closely connected to local players and residents to share the best of the Bigouden region with you
  • Guarantee you a warm welcome and personalised advice

Have you been to one of our offices? Don’t hesitate to leave us a review to help us improve the quality of our welcome, on Google and on Tripadvisor.

Our actions for sustainable development

The Pays Bigouden is a popular destination for the beauty of its unspoilt landscapes, its fishing ports, its rich heritage and its strong cultural identity. Our tourism strategy focuses on preserving these assets while protecting the environment.

To achieve this, Destination Pays Bigouden is striving to :

  • Favouring soft mobility (we have the “Accueil vélo” label)
  • Promote the preservation of the coastline, dunes and biodiversity (Natura 2000 and Ramsar zones)
  • Promote local products and know-how (map of local producers, Bigoudène Box, etc.)
  • Invite visitors to fill up their water bottles (we have signed up to #Gourdefriendly)
  • Not sending documentation by post, but instead creating a personalised digital travel diary with up-to-date information, thereby reducing our impact on the environment
  • Reduce the number of printed documents, by inviting people to download brochures from our website, and by preferring to announce events, ticket sales and weather forecasts on screens in our reception desks rather than on posters.
  • Recycling our surplus paper through the local association AFIDESA (Plomeur), which works in the field of education in Burkina Faso
  • Producing an autumn-winter magazine and a 100% digital accommodation magazine
  • Dematerialise our meeting minutes, schedules, liaison notebooks and a maximum number of internal operating documents
  • Commit to a CSR approach (through the Destination d’Excellence label)
  • Disseminate the Traveller’s Charter (video produced for all players in Brittany)
  • Carry out daily eco-actions: waste sorting, water and energy consumption, conscious and sensible digital practices and printing. Staff are regularly made aware of these issues.
  • Favouring car pooling for business trips
  • Taking part in various green initiatives: for example, cleaning up digital data every year during Clean Up Day in France (with staff awareness-raising on the impact of digital technology).

Network Sensation Bretagne

The Tourist Office is a member of the Sensation Bretagne network through the commune of Guilvinec.
