Les Croisières Dufour

Now in its fifth season in the Bigouden region, the “Les Croisières Dufour” association offers sailing trips and cruises! The association runs its activities from the Loctudy marina. This association, born out of a shared desire amongst Bigoudens who have been involved in the sailing community for years to introduce as many people as possible to sailing, organises day trips, a two-day, one-night package to the Glénan Islands (or elsewhere) and a five-day training course for those wishing to learn the best practices of sailing on a live-aboard yacht. Multi-day cruises along the Finistère coastline are also available on request. The educational focus – both on sailing itself and on exploring the marine environment – remains a priority on every trip. Led by the association’s chairman, Jérémie Dufour – a sailing instructor for over 20 years and holder of an international skipper’s certificate – the trips are open to everyone, from beginners to experienced sailors. They offer the chance to set sail in complete tranquillity on an 11-metre sailing boat with family or friends to explore the Glénan archipelago, Bénodet Bay and the Bigouden coast, heading towards Pointe de Penmarc’h with its marine wildlife. The day’s programme is tailored to the weather conditions and the participants’ preferences. There are even trumpet lessons on board! The sailing boat used for these cruises is a 198 First 345, fully refitted by the association’s members to ensure safe sailing. Prices for the trips start at 85 euros per person per day, with a maximum of six participants. Find all the information about the association on its website and Facebook page.
