Journée avec Gautier Degandt

WRITING WORKSHOP 2.30pm-6pm Develop your poetic potential in a collective and caring atmosphere! Through writing games and examples of poetry, which will be discussed together, a search for simplicity and purity will be highlighted and you will be able to compose poems similar to Haikus. This workshop allows you to take a step back from yourself to create, and encourages teamwork, with the group really working together. It is suitable for people with little or no experience of poetry, as well as experienced writers who want to be surprised. Part of the workshop takes place outdoors, to draw on the elements that contribute to one of the writing games. Authors studied: Bashō, Hosaï, Nanao Sakaki, Sappho, Sei Shōnagon, Joséphine Bacon, Laura Vazquez, Johnny Cash, Jeanne Benameur... By reservation only (max. 12 people), prepayment at the bookshop. POETRY AND DIVINATORY READING 6.30-8pm Come and experience a poetry walk while closing your eyes and remaining seated, with a reading of "Petits morceaux, chants et animaux", a collection written and read by Gautier Degandt, a singer from Rennes in the groups Bâton Bleu and En Gramma. Gautier will be your guide as you journey into intimate, sensual and living territory. His reading will be punctuated by contextualisations and reflections on the texts, as well as musical moments where singing and thumb piano will add a new dimension to the poems. Between the two parts of the collection there will be an intermission/bivouac where you can ask him questions about your future, and he will answer them using texts by the Japanese poet Hosaï. This practice is known as 'bibliomancy': a divinatory art that consists of randomly opening a piece of writing (a sacred book, a collection of poetry, etc.) and drawing a prediction or decision from the reading of a passage, also selected at random. It's a highly stimulating moment of reflection on the power of words and poetry, because Gautier and the whole audience can take part in proposing an interpretation of the poem.
