Description
This Lovers' Cross is a replica of the medieval cross that was broken in 1925. The base, returned by the former landowners, is original. According to legend, engaged couples who come to the foot of the cross swear an oath of fidelity and exchange their first kiss. A more dramatic version recounts that young people whose parents refused them marriage took their own lives at the foot of the cross.
