Description
The "Aux Bigoudens" monument, created in 1931 by granite and bronze sculptor François Bazin, depicts Bigouden women at the five ages of life: grandmother, mother, sister, young girl and granddaughter. The men are absent from this sculpture, and it is the anguish of waiting, the sadness and resignation that can be seen on the faces of these five women. On either side of the granite block, two bronze bas-reliefs depict scenes from Celtic mythology.
