Description
17th March 1916. At the front, Guillaume Apollinaire was hit in the head by shrapnel and, while waiting for help, recalled his loves: Lou, Marie, Madeleine, but also the Bateau lavoir, Braque, Picasso, Max Jacob and his mother, whose love he had missed so cruelly. In the fever of the wounded man, the two faces of Lou and Madeleine merge. Talking to one and thinking of the other, he cannot choose between body and soul, between passion and peace. An original drama and story, in which Apollinaire's verses find their place. Between literature and history, a poignant and sensitive journey into the sordid world that forged the legend of this immense poet.
Written and directed by Stéphane Titeca, performed by Pierre Jouvencel, with the voice of Agathe Sanchez. A show by Compagnie Elegie.
